Sometimes i feel life is not being fair to me, with all the complications and obstructions i have to face. Maybe these are all the tribulations of life that i have to go through, some being the punishment of my deeds back then? Whatever they are, i'd rather have the punishments now in real life than having it in the afterlife. God have mercy on me... My housing ballots were unsuccessful. The truth is, i've been lazy to update my blogspot, multiply and etc etc.....and i was always procrastinating hehehe. They are: BF's mum, BF's teen niece and nephew, BF's son and daughter, BF's fren and his family (wife and 2 kids) and my kecohrable "sister" wif her boyfren. Handling a group of 13 people is not an easy task i tell u! You have seen pictures of Phuket in my previous albums, now its more to people pictures. We celebrated my 31st birthday there with a simple seafood dinner and a surprise cake for me hahahaha! (ppsstt...actually i already knew about the surprise LOL) Although the whole trip wasn't as smooth sailing as we hoped it would be, we still had fun. Went for the elephant ride and also the off-road 4-wheel bike. Managed to visit the temples and go beaching after that. Shopping was the most tiring as we had to satisfy everyone's shopping lists! The accident left me traumatised for a while and in order not to let the phobia of riding bikes get to me, i had to get myself used to ride bikes again. I didn't realised how much the accident had affected me until me and BF rode the bike and went past the same road again. My heart was beating fast, my hands shivered as i held onto BF tightly and tears filled my eyes. As we passed the exact spot that we fell, i looked the other way and tried to think of other things to get it off my mind. But the minutes of terror seemed to keep on playing in my mind and i saw flashes of the accident in my eyes. I was terrified...but i don't want it to torment me forever. I have to face my fear. Death IS inevitable but i keep on praying that we don't die in the worst terrible manner. It's been a couple of days since i'm back to work. And i THANK GOD i'm still alive! BF was to go for his physiotherapy appointment today and so i accompanied him before going to work. As usual we rode on his bike, travelling at less than 100km/h on the road. Traffic was smooth and everything was fine from PIE to CTE. Little did we know that we would be involved in an accident later. We continued our journey into the CTE Tunnel, on our way to the hospital for his therapy session. Things were fine until the bike's front tyre punctured suddenly. BF was trying his best to control the bike as we were in the middle of 3 lanes. I saw the bike was running out of control and i thought of every prayer i could remember! Finally, the tyre gave way, we swerved to the rightmost lane and the bike hit against the concrete wall! I held onto BF as tight as i could and didn't realised that we were off the bike and skidded on the road. The bike was flung off a few metres away and i became stunned. There are some things that are keeping me busy and need constant monitoring now. Firstly is the HDB Balloting rounds and secondly, is the planning for our trip in March! No prizes for guessing where we are going to! Hehehehe... This time round, the flats on offer are more to my liking. I prefer mature estates rather than the ones at northeast. Its a fact that the new flats now are SO MUCH SMALLER compared to the old flats and that is the main reason why its the top of my list. The prices for the new flats are ridiculously high and to think that the government is making more of those "condo-like" flats! Enough pigeon holes already!! Now there are more mature estates up for grabs and the prices are reasonable. At least we have more choices, for now. A more defined and intensive training on the special request queues with 21 participants from all the teams. We had the pleasure of having Jody and Joyce from MSP CRC dept teaching us all about CRC. My poor kitty was urinating blood and i was pissed to know that my BIL has been feeding the kitties regular commercial cat biscuits which is unsuitable for them. When they were small, my sister was feeding them Friskies. For the animal lovers out there, Friskies and other commercial brand has a high intake of PH and this is not good for cross-breeds, big and fat dogs or cats and those with long fur. The high intake of PH can cause "sand" to develop in their bladder and this will eventually obstruct their bladder system, causing them to urine blood. For male dogs and cats, it can be hard to cure if left untreated and they may have to go for surgery to remove these "sands". And so 2 of my cats had to be brought to the vet in order to treat them. Mimi was brought by my sister and the next day i brought Ashley. Both had to stay at the clinic for at least half the day and be observed by the vet. The weekend after, we were invited to spend the weekend in Tg Pinang/Trikora Beach-Bintan by BF's friend. It was really a trip back to simplicity but well-worth it. We were treated to local delicacies and cheap shopping. It was like a trip back in time, like Singapore in the 60s and 70s. We basked ourselves in luxury, of which we could not afford in everyday lives. We went up to Kuala Lumpur (KL) on friday evening and came back on sunday afternoon. It has been years since i last visited KL, so we planned to have our weekend getaway there, with BF's friend in tow. 2 occasions were celebrated during the weekend: - our 4th anniversary - PT's (BF's childhood friend) birthday Accommodation: SHERATON IMPERIAL! woooohoooo..........!!! IT WAS SHIOKEST I TELL YOU!! We used our weekend stay inclusive of breakfast at a special rate and it was well worth it! The room....fffuuuuhhh.....POWER! The bed.....SHIOKEST!!! PT loved the bed the most. It was SO comfy and everything else in the room was tip-top! And we had rooms with a magnificient view of KL. My sis and BIL was away on a holiday in Bali and i get to enjoy the full use of the house. They left on friday morning while i was still sleeping heh. The kids were out for work and i had the whole house to myself and the kitties. I watched whatever that's on cable and the kitties roamed around freely, enjoying the "governmentless" day hahaha! In the evening i met up with BF to do some groceries shopping. Tampines is really getting packed, almost like the malls at Orchard Road! Soon we got suffocated and quickly went home.
